Mary put her two weeks notice in yesterday so ... We're moving to St. Louis. She's leaving in November and I'm heading out there in January. She's a bit freaked out about leaving the sports industry, as expected, but I think she made a good choice. It was kind of a quality of life decision. As for me, any move is a piece of cake compared to moving overseas. I mean, St. Louis is an 8-hour drive from Detroit. That's like driving from San Francisco to L.A. The way I see it, St. Louis is a more viable city with better opportunity and, although it's going to be hard leaving my mom and friends, we'll all get through it. I already had a conversation with my mom about the possibility of leaving (about two weeks ago) and she said she would be fine with it. She said it's not like she needs me here, but it's nice to have me around.
